Rico Crockett

Hello . I was born Rico Danell Crockett on October 24, 1975 in Detroit MI . I have a brother 4 years older. I was raised with academics as a first priority. That focus, determination, and guidance by my mother who set the path for me to end up achieving a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Michicgan in Ann Arbor , MI . I am a Climate Control Systems Resident Engineer for Ford Motor Company working on the 2005-2008 Mustang Program.

While at the University of Michigan , I received my group fitness instructor certification through A.F.A.A. (Aerobics Fitness Association of America) in 1998 and began teaching at Bally's Total Fitness through 2002. I, also, taught at LifeTime Fitness from 2001-2004. LifeTime Fitness (2002) is where I met duane Wrenn of Energitc Soul Studios. He performed a Salsa Master Class and I was hooked since that day. I remember thinking after the demonstration with Maribel Vasquez that "I finally found my passion (SALSA)." I went through duane's Salsa instructor training where I learned to teach the basic salsa footwork patterns with several variations in an aerobic format. I craved more knowledge and understanding about the dance. I, then, was paired with my dance partner, Leticia Steuer and began intense Soul'sa Instructor training.

I've been teaching for Energetic Soul Studios under duane Wrenn since 2003 and have loved every moment. As a member of the Supreme Team Dance Troupe, I am able to apply all the skills and training I've received and pass on the passion to others who view our performances. As an Engineer for Ford Motor Company, I have to use my analytical and problem solving side of my brain. My association with Energetic Soul Studios allows me the opportunity to use my artistic and creative side of my persona. Soul'sa is an absolute stress relief, mental balancer (and more importantly) and most fun activity in which I've participated.

Leticia Steuer

Leticia Steuer was born and raised in Montevideo , Uruguay. Dance and fitness has always been a very important part of her life. As a young child Leticia took classes in folklore, flamenco, and ballet. Leticia also trained in Gymnastics, winning national competitions during her teenage years..Leticia has always maintained a strong love for salsa and its culture.

In May 2002 Leticia was sharing her joy for fitness and teaching part time at Lifetime Fitness health club. She there met duane when he was doing a master class in Energetic Salsa. Leticia has since then trained with duane and is now one of his top instructors and performers at Energetic Soul Studios. Leticia is also part of the award winning Energetic Soul Dance Troupe and duane's business partner for their clothing company d and L's Soul*sa Gear.

A savvy business woman with a colorful combination of knowledge of dance, fitness and culture makes Leticia an invaluable asset to Energetic Soul.

She now resides in Macomb, MI with her husband and two sons.
